The Marais Dance Centre, a seperate entity from PARIS MARAIS DANCE SCHOOL, is the largest dance center in France, established in a mansion of the 17th century, originally called “Hôtel de Berlize”and enjoys a very quiet situation thanks to its private courtyard.
The dance classes of PARIS MARAIS DANCE SCHOOL are given in the studios of the Marais Dance Centre.
Perfectly served by public transport, the studios are close to all amenities and the historic center of Paris – Notre Dame Cathedral, Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, Saint-Louis Island, the Louvre …

For (pre)professional dancers, every morning
Contemporary Martha Graham technique class at 9:30 am, Monday to Friday.
Access without reservation or registration.
The classical ballet classes are accompanied by a pianist.
Access without reservation or registration, from 12 years (classic and floor barre) and 14 years (contemporary dance).
Classes limited to 20 or 25 participants depending on the studios.
The semester or annual subscription is advised to guarantee its place.
Professional training program
In an international atmosphere, with a personalized approach
For 14-18 year-olds, before high school graduation, initial training on audition, with flexible hours.
Intensive program over 11 months, from September to July, with 3 to 12 courses of 1.5 hours per week, workshops and courses.
Professional higher education
A vocational training of reference, from 1 to 2 years for dancers age 17-21
The Paris Marais Dance School is a reference dance professional program for talented young dancers who want to join a professional dance company.
Intensive program over 11 months, from September to July, with 15 to 19 classes and rehearsals of 1.5 hours per week, with workshops and summer intensive.
First year: technical reinforcement program, repertory, creation, performances
Second year: Young Ballet. technique, repertory, creation, performances
25 students maximum on the 2 years, on audition
Classes of male and female variations, pas-de-deux, points, flow / release / contact and improvisation classes are reserved exclusively for the professional training program.
Advanced classical and contemporary technical classes also welcome professionals, enabling students to frequent professional dancers and principals from various companies around the world (ABT, Graham Company, Alvin Ailey Company, Pilobolus, Kremlin Ballet, others …) or advanced students from other reknown international schools (ABT, Rudra, London Contemporary Dance School, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Paris Opera Ballet School …)
As part of their technical reinforcement, the dancers in the 1st year of vocational training also take part in intermediate level classes possibly frequented by amateurs of this level.
