    Michaël Denard

    Ex-principal dancer of Paris Opera Ballet
    Iconic dancer of the years 1970 – 1980, Michael Denard danced on the biggest stages in the world and had the greatest ballerinas partners such Ghislaine Thesmar, Natalia Bessmertnova, Ekaterina Maximova, Natalia Makarova or Sylvie Guillem. He created during his career many ballets and first roles in choreographies by Maurice Béjart (which, in 1979, offers his creation of the Firebird), Jerome Robbins, Merce Cunningham, Patrice Bart, Roland Petit Alvin Ailey.
    He is invited in such prestigious companies as the American Ballet Theatre, the Bolshoi Theatre and the Mariinsky Theatre.
    From 1993 to 1996, he was appointed director of the Staatsoper Ballet Berlin.
